Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced a policy direction requiring all doctors to receive formal education in nutrition, citing chronic disease rates linked to diet-related conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.

Medical training has traditionally focused on pharmaceuticals and surgery, with limited emphasis on nutrition. Kennedy argues this gap leaves physicians unprepared to address root causes of preventable illness.
